Our Story

Spinstak, formerly Safety Marketing Services (also known as SMS), is a B2B digital marketing and web development agency specializing in the safety, industrial, and manufacturing industries.

Since 2003, we’ve been recognized as the one-stop shop for all marketing and development needs, bringing B2B and B2C solutions to businesses of all shapes and sizes. Our expertise ranges from creating beautiful print catalogs to highly optimized websites. We help build brands online, crafting campaigns across all channels and verticals that are expertly built for conversion to grow your business. We made our mark on the industry by creating print catalogs for industrial safety distributors. We leveraged the industry’s most comprehensive data collection of the best safety equipment brands. We enabled our clients with the ability to quickly organize, design, print, and publish beautiful catalogs that helped drive millions of dollars worth of growth. That was just the beginning.   We soon realized there was exponential growth within our industry to reach customers and end users online. In 2009, we honed our catalog product database and the relationships we’ve built with safety manufacturers to develop proprietary technology that would take our industry to the next level. This sparked the creation of Nucleus, an eCommerce platform that allows customers to sell their products online with the information they need at their fingertips.

Our team designed, developed, hosted, and maintained eCommerce websites for dozens of distributors and suppliers. Since it’s original launch, we’ve added new features to our platform. We’re currently on our 2nd generation of Nucleus, which contains product data for over 1,600 suppliers and over 500,000 SKUs readily available to our clients. Our capabilities and offering were unparalleled and unlike anything in the industrial marketing sphere.   In 2015, Matt Johnson was named CMO and Managing Partner of Safety Marketing Services, transforming the company into a full service B2B marketing agency. He led the team to offer diverse services such as email marketing, social media management, brand development, top quality video production, and comprehensive inbound digital marketing strategies. This move enabled SMS to become the leader in both web development and digital marketing services.
